Yes. Genesys Cloud supports SIP Session Timers as defined in RFC 4028. However, SIP Session Timers cannot be defined or configured on External SIP Trunks. Genesys recommends using Idle RTP as a preferred method for detecting active sessions.

If you prefer to use SIP Session Timers, you must request and configure them from the remote SIP peer. Genesys Cloud responds to session timers and sends session refresh messages upon request.
