FAQ: If the Edge cannot connect to the cloud, can I use the Genesys Cloud interface to make calls?


No. You cannot use the Genesys Cloud on-screen call control options, such as mute or transfer, while the Genesys Cloud Edge appliance is offline. When the connection to the cloud restores, the Genesys Cloud on-screen call control options become available again and the active and updated call status will be updated on the Genesys Cloud interface.
