About the REST Dynamic Connector

Feature deprecation: On the January 1, 2021 decommission start date, Genesys development will begin to scale down the support services and remove unused connector services as final customers migrate off the connectors. Genesys will also introduce periodic disabling of the connectors during off hours. In early 2021, Genesys will post a schedule for disabling each connector, with two-week advance notice. Genesys’ objective throughout the decommission and removal process is to ensure that we do not negatively impact our customers’ businesses. For more information, see Deprecation: Genesys Cloud Bridge integrations.

The REST Dynamic Connector synchronizes data bidirectionally between Genesys Cloud and endpoints in a REST-enabled system.

The REST Dynamic Connector supports the following operations:

  • Create, update, and delete a person in Genesys Cloud
  • Create, update, and delete a person in a REST-enabled customer system

The REST Dynamic Connector synchronizes with Genesys Cloud at a default time of 3600 seconds. The sync time is configurable in the JSON configuration

Get started adding data from a REST-enabled system.

You need the following for the configuration of this connector:

  • Account permissions — Connector permissions must match those of the REST service API.
  • Profile field synchronization scheme — If you want to customize our default configuration, create a map of how you want data transfer to occur between the REST-enabled system and Genesys Cloud. See Default field mappings and Create a profile synchronization scheme.
  • Connector property values — The connector configuration requires details about the customer REST system.
Important:  Configuring this connector requires detailed knowledge of the REST-enabled system that you wish to synchronize with Genesys Cloud. Do not attempt to set up an integration with this connector unless you can obtain all of the information for the REST Dynamic Connector properties.
