Edge appliance import restrictions by country
The following table details the selling and shipping of Genesys Cloud Edge appliances by country.
- It is not uncommon for SIP trunk providers to require a permit or license before allowing the use of a third-party device. Include researching such a requirement in your implementation plan and timeline. Import licenses and custom clearances take upwards of six weeks for some countries.
- Many destinations, including most Asian markets, require in-country representatives to participate in the import process. These in-country representatives are the Importer of Record (IOR). The customer can participate as the IOR. You can also use a third-party broker for a substantial fee.
- Genesys Global Logistics has not cleared sales to countries not listed. For more information on countries not listed, contact your Genesys account manager.
- This list is formulated from the electrical, safety, and other regulatory requirements of these nations. These requirements are subject to change. Genesys attempts to keep requirements current, but the regulatory requirements for sovereign states are outside of Genesys’ control.
- In all of the Asian countries, the importer is responsible for all applicable import permits and licenses.
- If you have questions about export requirements, please contact Genesys Global Logistics at GlobalLogistics@Genesys.com.
