Bridge Platform overview

Feature deprecation: On the January 1, 2021 decommission start date, Genesys development will begin to scale down the support services and remove unused connector services as final customers migrate off the connectors. Genesys will also introduce periodic disabling of the connectors during off hours. In early 2021, Genesys will post a schedule for disabling each connector, with two-week advance notice. Genesys’ objective throughout the decommission and removal process is to ensure that we do not negatively impact our customers’ businesses. For more information, see Deprecation: Genesys Cloud Bridge integrations.

The Bridge Platform performs integrations between Genesys Cloud and your systems or services, whether they are on-premise or in the cloud.

The platform’s modular architecture is spread out between the cloud and the location of the integrated data.

Component Description
Bridge Services Web servers that contain the configuration, distribute the connectors, and manage the Bridge Servers and connectors.
Bridge Server A windows application that hosts the Bridge Connectors, pulls the configuration from the Bridge Services, and receives notifications from Bridge Services for changes to the configuration. The Bridge Server is typically installed on-premises or on AWS to connect to cloud data sources (e.g., Salesforce).
Bridge Connectors The plug-ins that are installed on the Bridge Server to synchronize data with a specific system (Active Directory, SQL Database, CIC, Workday, etc.).
