About the web services data dip connector


Feature deprecation: On the January 1, 2021 decommission start date, Genesys development will begin to scale down the support services and remove unused connector services as final customers migrate off the connectors. Genesys will also introduce periodic disabling of the connectors during off hours. In early 2021, Genesys will post a schedule for disabling each connector, with two-week advance notice. Genesys’ objective throughout the decommission and removal process is to ensure that we do not negatively impact our customers’ businesses. The web services data dip connector allows your IVR to dip into your third-party system using your web service to retrieve information with default or custom connector actions. You can then use this information within call flows.

Overview

The web services data dip connector integrates your interactive voice response (IVR) system with a web service that you create and that implements the web services data dip connector API. Your web service can call any third-party system that stores data, such as a customer relationship management (CRM) database.

Get started

Review the requirements. After you create and implement a web service (see the Web services section), install a Bridge Server. Then add the connector and a bridge action that you can use in call flows.
